Activists chanted "Democrats, you can’t hide, you’re voting for genocide!" "Genocide Joe has got to go!" "F*ck Joe Biden!" and "Down with the USA!" while waving Palestinian and trans flags.
Activists assembled outside Radio City Music Hall on Sixth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan and clashed with the New York City Police Department (NYPD), and were filmed by independent journalist Brendan Gutenschwager chanting "down with the USA."
They also heckled Democrat donors who shelled out thousands of dollars to attend the event which included a panel with Biden, former President Barack Obama, and former President Bill Clinton moderated by Stephen Colbert.
Over 5,000 people attended the star-studded event featuring celebrity guests including Queen Latifah, Lizzo, Ben Platt, Cynthia Erivo, Lea Michele, Sean Hayes, Mindy Kaling, Jason Bateman, and Will Arnett. Democrats boasted on social media that the event raised $25 million.
Organizers charged a minimum of $250 to attend the event and up to $500,000 for an exclusive reception. Attendees could get a photo with Biden, Obama, and Clinton taken by photographer Annie Leibovitz for $100,000 a pop.
Activists interrupted the remarks of all three presidents during a discussion on Gaza and accused the panelists of having "blood on your hands."
According to Fox News, Obama received a standing ovation for responding "You can't just talk and not listen."
Outside the event, activists chanted “Democrats, you can’t hide, you’re voting for genocide!” “Genocide Joe has got to go!” “F*ck Joe Biden!” and “Down with the USA!” while waving Palestinian and trans flags.
One pro-Palestinian activist could be heard in footage from Gutenschwager telling Democrats leaving the event, “Enjoy Trump, ‘cuz we’re never voting for Biden.”
Though several arrests were made, and it is currently unclear if any of the activists were charged.
Biden celebrated the event, writing on X, "Caught up with Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Stephen Colbert last night. I’ve gotta say, I like their style."
While Biden was preparing for the event, former President Donald Trump was on Long Island attending the wake of fallen New York police officer Jason Diller, who was fatally shot this week by a prolific offender.
