Funding for Ukraine is a major point of contention in the Republican controlled House, where many conservatives are opposed to further funding for the war-torn nation. Their concern primarily has to do with a disinterest in having the US fund and fight foreign wars. America has spent some $113 billion on Ukraine's fight so far.
Newly minted House Speaker Mike Johnson has said that were there to be further funding for Ukraine, those funds would have to be pulled from elsewhere in the budget.
