On Saturday, a physical battle broke out between Black Hebrew Israelites and anti-Israel protesters in Chicago as worldwide demonstrations increase over the Israel-Hamas war in the Middle East.

Video footage captured by Yeshiva World News shows the two opposing groups throwing punches and violently beating each other with Palestinian flag poles as an all-out battle broke out during the anti-Israel demonstration.

Chicago police responded to the scene and struggled to break up the duel as both groups hurled bottles and beat each other with sticks during the fight, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Black Hebrew Israelites believe that African Americans, not Jews, are the real descendants of the ancient Israelites. They are a fringe group that usually meets in cities close to popular tourist destinations to spread their views, frequently with the use of PA systems and bullhorns.

Additional video footage captured by Tyler LaRiviere with the Chicago Sun-Times shows Chicago police bike officers form a line between the two groups in an attempt to deter the violence. However, that effort was seemingly unsuccessful and members of both groups continued to throw projectiles at each other which included launching fireworks.

He reports that he witnessed at least one arrest, as well as a member of the Black Hebrew Israelites being transported off the scene in an ambulance. Chicago Police has not yet reported if there were additional arrests or injuries during the altercation.

The ongoing demonstrations come after Israel declared war on Hamas terrorists who invaded the country at daybreak on Oct. 7 and brutally slaughtered more than 1400 Israeli civilian men, women, and children in the most heinous act of terror Israel has seen since 1973.
