Academy Award-winning actor Bradley Cooper and the top aid of Hillary Clinton, Huma Abedin, have allegedly been dating "for a few months now," reported Page Six on Tuesday.

The ex-wife of the disgraced former Democratic New York congressman, Anthony Weiner, was apparently paired with Cooper by Vogue's Anna Wintour, who is a close friend of both.

"Anna definitely played matchmaker," one source told the entertainment publication. "She’s BFFs with Bradley and adores Huma."

"Bradley has been quietly dating Huma for a few months now," said another anonymous insider. "They’ve been keeping it really quiet…Bradley broke up with [actress] Dianna Agron and started dating Huma."

Yet another source close to Abedin added that the longtime political staffer "has told a few friends" that she has a "new man … but she didn’t say who it was. She was keeping it very close to her chest."

Abedin is still in the process of divorcing Weiner, who confessed to having sexually explicit contact with a 15-year-old girl online. The politician resigned from Congress in 2011, and was later sentenced to serve 21 months in prison in May 2017 after pleading guilty to sending obscene material to a minor. Abedin filed for divorce that same year. The two share a 10-year-old son, who they co-parent together in the same Union Square building.

Bradley Cooper also has a child, a five-year-old daughter with ex-fiancee model Irina Shayk.

While the pair have yet to confirm or deny the reports of their alleged relationship, Twitter users have been sharing their reactions to the rumors online, with many of the responses approving of American Sniper star Cooper over  Weiner.
