BREAKING: Anti-woke record company Baste Records signs Five Times August for new single featuring Offspring drummer Pete Parada

Nashville-based Baste Records has signed a single song deal with Five Times August that will feature former The Offspring drubber Pete Parada.

The record company said in a press release that the collaboration "marks an exciting new chapter" in Five Times August’s career as the two join for a single titled "Ain’t No Rock and Roll," which is expected to be released in the coming months under the guidance of Baste Records.

Five Times August, a solo act featuring Skistimas, "has garnered a loyal and dedicated fan base with his true reflections on today’s society, soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics," and is known for "his ability to capture raw emotions singing about modern day issues," the press release stated.

Parada was notably kicked out of The Offspring after 14 years in 2021 after he refused to get the Covid-19 vaccine due to is medical condition.

The 48-year-old drummer has Guillain-Barré syndrome, which is a rare disease that causes the immune system to attack the nervous system, with the drummer stating that his doctor advised him against getting the vaccine, as it would be more dangerous than the virus itself.

In a Twitter thread at the time, Parada wrote, "I caught the virus over a year ago, it was mild for me - so I am confident I’d be able to handle it again, but I’m not so certain I’d survive another post-vaccination round of Guillain-Barré Syndrome."

"The risks far outweigh the benefits," he said.

Parada noted that he wanted to "make sure I’m not carving out a space that is only big enough for me. I need to state, unequivocally, that I support informed consent - which necessitates choice unburdened by coercion."

Since leaving The Offspring, Parada has been featured as the drummer for Tim Pool’s single "Only Ever Wanted."
