BREAKING: Armed man shot by Border Patrol in Minneapolis identified as Alex Jeffrey Pretti, 37

The armed man who was shot by Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis has been identified as Alex Jeffrey Pretti, a 37-year-old white man from Minneapolis. Riots have ensued in the city after the shooting. 

According to the Minnesota Star Tribune, two sources familiar with the matter identified Pretti as the deceased man. Police said that he is believed to be an American citizen. 

In the aftermath of the shooting, anti-ICE agitators have started riots in the streets of the city, with multiple arrests taking place. The incident took place around 9 am. Footage of the shooting showed a struggle between Pretti and Border Patrol officers before he was shot. He was struck multiple times in the chest. CPR was administered, but he was pronounced dead. Offiicers in the footage were heard yelling, "He's got a gun!"

President Donald Trump said of the shooting on Truth Social after it took place, "This is the gunman’s gun, loaded (with two additional full magazines!), and ready to go – What is that all about? Where are the local Police? Why weren’t they allowed to protect ICE Officers? The Mayor and the Governor called them off? It is stated that many of these Police were not allowed to do their job, that ICE had to protect themselves — Not an easy thing to do! Why does Ilhan Omar have $34 Million Dollars in her account?"
