Munger's death was confirmed in a press release from Berkshire Hathaway, which said that he peacefully passed at a California hospital on Tuesday morning.
Warren Buffett commented that “Berkshire Hathaway could not have been built to its present status without Charlie’s inspiration, wisdom and participation.”
Munger was estimated to have a fortune of $2.3 billion in 2023, according to CNBC. Buffett, meanwhile, had an estimated fortune of over $100 billion.
