Buffalo supermarket mass shooter Payton Gendron was sentenced to life in prison without parole on Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and domestic terrorism, among other charges.

Gendron killed 10 people in a racially motivated massacre in Buffalo, New York last year. He pleaded guilty to all 15 counts brought by Buffalo prosecutors. The shooting took place at Tops Friendly Markets in a predominantly black area of the city.

10 were killed and three others were wounded in Gendron's attack. 8 of the 10 victims were black.

"There is no place for you or your evil, ignorant, or hateful ideologies in a civilized society. There can be no mercy for you, no understanding, and no second chances. The damage you have caused is too great and the people you have hurt are too valuable to this community. You will never see the light of day as a free man ever again," said Judge Susan Eagan during the sentencing on Wednesday.

This is a breaking news story and will be updated.
