Cars traveling in Tim Walz's motorcade were involved in a crash Monday, with the cars involved in the crash reportedly carrying members of the press to a campaign event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

According to CBS News, reporters in the motorcade traveling with Walz crashed before 1 pm local time on Interstate 794. Walz was on his way to an event celebrating Labor Day in Milwaukee for his campaign.

Walz's campaign vehicle was not in the crash. One person in the car that crashed appeared to have a broken arm when the incident occurred on Monday afternoon and was being treated by medics on the scene.

Video of the incident showed that there was a large dent in the back of one of the vans while two others behind the one with the dent were smashed together, according to the Daily Mail. One male reporter had a bloody nose, and a female reporter may have gotten a concussion.

Emergency vehicles and first responders were on the scene to treat people for injuries. Congresswoman Gwen Moore (D-WI) was also in the motorcade at the time, but was not hurt. Walz is campaigning in Wisconsin for Labor Day. Both Walz and Moore went ahead of the crash after the incident onto the destination.

The crash is under investigation, according to reporter Matt Smith of Wisconsin 12 News.

Smith reported, "Crash is under investigation. The interstate was still open to traffic when the motorcade entered, one vehicle was involved. The driver said police were telling her to pull over." A new vehicle was obtained for the press, and they continued onto the location for the campaign event.
