Police and federal agents have surrounded the area near CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, following an incident where a man approached the main gate and began making threats. Shots were fired, according to Times Now.
ABC News first reported that the man’s threats at the gate led to an immediate response from law enforcement.
The Fairfax County Police Department referred to the situation as a “barricade incident” in a public update and confirmed that its Special Operations Division had units deployed to the scene.
Authorities have also announced a road closure in the area as the situation unfolds. No further details have been released about potential injuries or the identity of the suspect.
