Authorities are investigating a vehicle explosion that occurred Wednesday at the entrance to the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas as a possible terrorist attack, according to ABC News. Witnesses reported a "massive explosion" near the 64-story luxury building owned by the Trump Organization. Surveillance video footage showed a Tesla Cybertruck exploding in flames.

During an afternoon press briefing, authorities said that at least one person was killed and seven others were injured in the explosion. The person killed is believed to have been inside the Cybertruck. Las Vegas Metro Police urged the public to avoid the area. The incident occurred just after 8:40 am at 2000 Fashion Show Drive.

ABC News was informed by an official who was briefed on the investigation that the Tesla Cybertruck was carrying a quantity of firework-style mortars. Investigators are working to determine the driver's motivation, and are probing the matter as a possible terrorist attack, per the network.

Trump's son, Eric, confirmed the incident in a post on X.
