Twitter's revamped "verification" system which allows users to attach a blue checkmark through a subscription service of $7.99 a month went live on Saturday.
The new service follows through with a plan owner Elon Musk announced when he took over the company.
The new features can be added via an update through the Apple app store. The description says the user can get their checkmark "just like the celebrities, companies and politicians you already follow."
The description also promises that there are more features to come such as the ability to post longer videos and exposure to fewer ads.
Previously, Musk said the new verification system would cost $20 a month for users to receive a blue checkmark via Twitter Blue.
One Twitter employee commented that the service "isn't live yet" despite it being available through the app store.
"The new Blue isn’t live yet — the sprint to our launch continues but some folks may see us making updates because we are testing and pushing changes in real-time. The Twitter team is legendary. New Blue… coming soon!"
