The four were arrested in Lucerne Valley, California.
The FBI has arrested four individuals who are said to be part of a radical pro-Palestinian extremist group for a terror plot that would have targeted Los Angeles on New Year’s Eve. They were allegedly planning coordinated bombing attacks at five separate locations across New Year’s Eve using improvised explosive devices.
The four arrested are self-identified members of a radical offshoot of the Turtle Island Liberation Front, the FBI told Fox News. The extremist group has anti-government, anti-law enforcement, and pro-Palestinian beliefs.
The four were arrested in Lucerne Valley, California. The FBI said the four were believed to have been preparing to test explosive devices in preparation for the attack. They have been charged with conspiracy and possession of a destructive device. A fifth individual believed to also be connected to the same extremist group was also arrested in New Orleans for allegedly planning a separate attack.
Arrested were Audrey Illeene Carroll, Zachary Aaron Page, Dante Gaffield and Tina Lai, per the Daily Wire’s Mary Margaret Olohan. An FBI arrest affidavit stated that target locations were "property and facilities operated by two separate companies that are used or engaged in activities affecting interstate and foreign commerce."
Page and Carroll allegedly "discussed plans for future attacks after the New Year’s Eve bombings, namely, plans to commence targeting" ICE "with pipe bombs beginning in January or February 2026, with Carroll noting 'that would take some of them out and scare the rest of them.'" The affidavit included photos of signs that read "Death to ICE" and "Death to America," as well as bomb making supplies.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said that "after an intense investigation, the Department of Justice, working with our FBI, prevented what would have been a massive and horrific terror plot in the Central District of California (Orange County and Los Angeles). The Turtle Island Liberation Front—a far-left, pro-Palestine, anti-government, and anti-capitalist group—was preparing to conduct a series of bombings against multiple targets in California beginning on New Year’s Eve. The group also planned to target ICE agents and vehicles."
This was an incredible effort by our US Attorneys’ Offices and the FBI to ensure Americans can live in peace. We will continue to pursue these terror groups and bring them to justice."
FBI Director Kash Patel wrote, "Over the weekend, the FBI disrupted a credible, imminent terrorist threat and arrested FOUR individuals connected to the Los Angeles area."
"The subjects self-identified as members of a radical offshoot of the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF), an extremist group motivated by pro-Palestinian, anti-law-enforcement, and anti-government ideology. They were allegedly planning coordinated IED bombing attacks on New Year's Eve, targeting five separate locations across Los Angeles."
"In the days since, FBI New Orleans arrested an additional FIFTH individual believed to be linked to this radical TILF subgroup - also allegedly planning a separate violent attack."
