Former Head of Trust & Safety for Twitter Yoel Roth took to Mastadon to express his displeasure in the wake of the bombshell revelations regarding Twitter's censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop scandal

The files were released by Elon Musk and published by Matt Taibbi on Roth's former platform and revealed that Roth was compicit in the censorship.

"Publicly posting the names and identities of front-line employees involved in content moderation puts them in harm's way and is a fundamentally unacceptable thing to do" Roth posted.

Matt Taibbi revealed that Roth and Vijaya Gadde were involved in suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story ahead of the 2020 election, confirming Musk's previous claim that Twitter was involved in election interference.

When lawmakers expressed concerns about the suppression of free speech, Roth and Gadde hid behind terms of service and vague rationalizations.

Roth had previously falsely accused Trump supporters of being "Literal Nazis."

In October 2020, in the lead up to the general presidential election in the US, Emma Jo Morris broke the story in the New York Post of a discarded laptop left at a Delaware computer repair shop. That laptop belonged to Hunter Biden, and on it, a treasure trove of explicit material was found as well as evidence of shady business dealings.
