Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy was swarmed by a group of radical protesters in Iowa on Thursday, who confronted him over his stance on Ukraine and climate change.

Ramaswamy, a billionaire businessman in the tech industry, was confronted by the group outside his campaign venue. The protesters grilled him about his anti-war views, in which Ramaswamy strongly stated that the war between Russia and Ukraine needs to end and called on the US to cease any further aid to Ukraine.

When Ramaswamy stood by his comments and failed to appease the radical protesters, an individual in the group significantly damaged the presidential candidate's vehicle before allegedly fleeing the scene, according to video shared by Babylon Bee's Ashley St. Clair.

Ramaswamy released a statement on X following the incident and said: "I believe in free speech, especially for those who disagree with me. Violence is never the answer. We will always hold ourselves to a higher standard than the other side."

According to St. Clair, Ramaswamy was campaigning in Iowa when he was confronted by a small group of protesters. The GOP presidential candidate "respectfully answered their questions" and "thanked them for expressing their views even while disagreeing with them."

One of the protesters involved with the group allegedly crashed his vehicle into Ramaswamy's, flipped off the candidate and his staff members, then fled the scene, St. Clair said.

However, not all protesters engaged in political violence.

St. Clair writes that Ramaswamy had a well-perceived interaction with a climate change protester "after the irrational Ukraine kids got tired and dispersed."

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
