Joe Biden has tested positive for Covid, meaning he will miss speaking engagement at a conference tonight hosted by UnidosUS, a Latino civil rights and advocacy group.

After speaking with the president, CEO Janet Murguia told attendees that he was disappointed that he could not be there.

"I was just on the phone with President Biden, and he shared his deep disappointment at not being able to join us this afternoon. The president has been at many events, as we all know, and he just tested positive for Covid. So of course we understand that he needs to take the precautions that had been recommended, and we did not, obviously, want to put anybody at risk."

A short time later, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre released a statement explaining that Biden had developed "mild symptoms" and will be "returning to Delaware where he will self-isolate." She reassured the American people that he "is vaccinated and boosted," and will "continue to carry out all of his duties in full during that time."

Biden's doctor noted that earlier in the day he had come down with a runny nose, cough, and general malaise. Following his first event, he was tested and it came back positive. A dose of Paxlovid was provided.

Covid? Really? he must have been vaxed 14 times by now. That worked well.

Hey, Joe, remember when you said it was a 'pandemice of the unvaxx'ed'? How are all those shots and boosters working out for you? FJB
