BREAKING: Justice Amy Coney Barrett's home swatted last night

An attempted swatting took place against Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett overnight. A call was made about gunshots at her address, and dispatch audio showed the dispatcher saying she was unsure whether the call was a swatting attempt.

The dispatch noted that the address was for a "high-priority resident of the county," and had 24-hour security. "Units responding to suspicious noise, be advised, we have not been able to get an answer on callback to the complainant’s phone number. Unknown if it’s going to be a swatting situation," the dispatcher said.  



A responding officer said, "just made contact with security that’s on scene. They should be outside in an Explorer. He said he hasn’t heard anything. We’re just going to meet up with him first, just to go over anything." 

Amy Coney Barrett’s home has previously been targeted by left-wing activists. In the wake of the 2022 leak of the Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v Wade, the group Ruth Sent Us mapped out the homes of Supreme Court justices, including Amy Coney Barrett. Protestors were seen marching outside of Barrett's home the day after Justice Brett Kavanaugh had been targeted in a foiled assassination attempt.

The Biden administration had supported the protests outside the justices’ homes, with then-press secretary Jen Psaki telling reporters, "So, I know that there's an outrage right now, I guess, about protests that have been peaceful to date, and we certainly continue to encourage that outside of judges' homes and that's the President's position."
