BREAKING: Leftist Boston judge forced to lift ruling blocking USPS from securing elections after SCOTUS ruling

In the wake of the Supreme Court upholding an executive order from Trump that aims to limit mail-in voting through the Post Office, a federal judge in Boston lifted a nationwide injunction she had issued on the order. 

US District Judge Indira Talwani wrote in her Wednesday ruling, “In sum, the court finds that, in light of the Supreme Court’s decision in Trump v. California, Plaintiff Organizations are not likely to prevail as to ripeness without amending their complaint to reflect the fact that a Final Rule has now issued.”

The executive order directed the Department of Homeland Security to compile a list of US citizens who are eligible to vote, and the USPS to create rules that would toughen requirements for states that conduct voting by mail, including not sending ballots to those who have not been identified as eligible US citizens.

The Supreme Court on Monday ruled 6-3 that the over 20 Democrat-led states that sued over the move lacked standing because it was unclear how the administration will implement the order. 

The Court’s disposition of this application does not mean that any measure taken by the Government to implement the Order will necessarily be lawful. On that score, time will tell. But the Order itself does not harm the States, so the District Court lacked jurisdiction to bar the Government from trying to implement it,” the unsigned opinion stated.
