On Tuesday, outspoken anti-Israel activist Linda Sarsour, along with dozens of anti-Israel demonstrators, staged a protest inside the US Capitol building in Washington, DC. They demanded that aid to Israel from the US be halted as the nation fights a war against Iranian-backed Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.

The protest was shut down by Capitol Police, and a number of those who took part were arrested, including Sarsour.

"Insurrection happening now in the Capital!!" Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote, posting a video of the incident. "Arrest them all and throw them in the DC gulag in solitary confinement just like J6'ers!"

Members of the group held up signs and banners, some of which read "The people choose life. Ceasefire now" and "Protect immigrants + asylees."

"No more weapons, no more war, freedom's what we're fighting for!" they chanted, encoring that with, "Not another nickel, not another dime, no more money for Israel's crimes!"

"I have a problemw with my country," a man in a pink toque added.

The demonstrators continued chanting even as they were being arrested.

This is not the first time anti-Israel agitators have made their way into federal goverment buildings to spread their message.

In October, dozens filed into the Capitol to call for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, and a month later, a group occupied the office of Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, labelling her "Genocide Gillibrand" over her support for military aid to Israel, including the replenishment of Iron Dome air defense system missiles.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
