MyPillow founder Mike Lindell was reinstated on Twitter on Friday after a suspension that began on May 2 after he opened a second Twitter account following a ban stemming from January 26, 2021.

Lindell tweeted after being reinstated, "I'm back!! Thank you @elonmusk and by the way MELT DOWN THE ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES AND TURN THEM INTO PRISON BARS!"

Lindell's return to the social media platform comes after Twitter owner Elon Musk started restoring several accounts that were banned under previous leadership, such as Donald Trump, Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, and the Christian satire site The Babylon Bee.

When Lindell was permanently banned in 2021, the platform said it was for "repeated violations" of its civic integrity policy with regard to election misinformation.

Lindell, a vocal conservative and Christian, is a prominent supporter of former President Donald Trump, and has expressed skepticism that the 2020 presidential election was free of voter fraud.

According to the Associated Press, Lindell then opened another account on May 1 but was banned again on May 2 for "ban evasion."

Lindell has recently said he intends to run for chair of the Republican National Committee.
