On Friday, former Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann revealed on Twitter that he and NBC have reached a confidential settlement in regards to Sandmann's defamation suit against the media outlet.
"At this time I would like to release that NBC and I have reached a settlement. The terms are confidential," Sandmann wrote on Twitter.
Sandmann filed a number of lawsuits against media outlets following their coverage of him and other Covington Catholic students at the Lincoln Memorial.
Sandmann and his classmates were called names, with comments saying Sandmann had a "punchable face" after video of him standing outside the memorial in a pro-Trump Make America Great Again hat went viral.
In January of 2020, Sandmann and CNN reached a settlement in his multi-million dollar defamation lawsuit against the mainstream media outlet. In July of the same year, Sandmann won his defamation lawsuit against The Washington Post.
