Dozens of agitators calling for a "ceasefire" between the Jewish state of Israel and Iranian-backed Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas have been arrested after blocking the entrances to nearly all the bridges and tunnels connecting lower Manhattan to New Jersey and Brooklyn on Monday. Over 120 were arrested.

These included the Williamsburg Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan Bridge spanning the East River between Manhattan and Brooklyn and the Holland Tunnel under the Hudson River connecting New Jersey to New York City.

Many of the thoroughfares have since been reopened by NYPD, though the activists' actions caused significant delays throughout the city.

The NYPD announced earlier that "ongoing protests" were disrupting traffic and these major river crossings.

The disruptions began around 9:3 0am, and as ABC7 reports, it wasn't until about an hour later that the Brooklyn Bridge and Holland Tunnel finally reopened to traffic. The Manhattan Bridge has also since reopened on the upper level.

A spokesperson from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey confirmed with local outlet PIX11 that around 120 people had been arrested.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
