The Department of War (DoW) has said that "all options are on the table" when it comes to the investigation of Senator Mark Kelly, when asked if a court-martial would be on the table over Kelly and other lawmakers' "illegal orders" video.

"If Secretary Phelan were to recommend court martial, could that be an option on the table" with respect to Kelly, Human Events Daily Host Jack Posobiec asked DoW Press Secretary Kingsley Wilson.

Wilson responded, "All options are on the table at this moment in time, and we look forward to getting the Secretary of the Navy's review. And the Secretary of War has been very clear in his statements as well that he takes this extremely seriously, and it is unacceptable."

Posobiec had previously asked about Kelly, saying that there was "some reporting about a possible investigation into him regarding his status as a retired member of the United States Navy, still in pension, and therefore still under the jurisdiction of the Uniform Code of Military Justice."

Kelly, who was part of the group of lawmakers some have dubbed the "Seditious Six," put together a video in which they told active-duty military members that they do not have to follow "illegal orders."

Wilson said of Kelly’s actions, “The Department of War received serious allegations of misconduct against Senator Mark Kelly, and in accordance with the Uniform Code of Military Justice and other applicable recommendations and regulations, we're doing a thorough review of all of these allegations, and the Secretary of War has tasked the Secretary of the Navy, John Phelan, with doing a thorough review, looking into all of these allegations and providing him an update on December 10, so we will have more information to come on that.”

In addition to the question regarding Kelly, Posobiec also asked Wilson on the topic of GOP Senator Roger Wicker, who has joined in with some Democrats, calling for an investigation over allegations that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth committed a war crime with two strikes on a narcoterrorism boat that killed two survivors from the first strike.

Posobiec asked, “Does the secretary's office or the Pentagon in general have a message for Senator Wicker, who, as a Republican, has now backed this inquiry into Secretary Hegseth again accusing him of war crimes. It seems strange to see a Republican going after one of President Trump's own cabinet members.”

Wilson responded, “I can confirm that the Secretary of War spoke with Senator Wicker, and they had a good conversation where he was able to explain to him a lot of the rationale behind these strikes. And we work closely with all of our partners on the hill, whether Republican or Democrat, to keep them up to date on what this department is doing in regard to the strike.”

The comments from the DoW come after a Washington Post report claimed that the second strike on the boat was directly ordered by Hegseth to kill two people who were surviving on the boat. Democrats as well as Wicker responded, calling for an investigation into Hegseth for a perceived war crime. However, the New York Times reported after the Hegseth did “not give any further orders to” conduct the second strike.

It doesn't matter what the rationale behind bombing civilian boats was. It's a violation of international law & Hegseth should be investigated for ordering a war crime regardless of whether he ordered the double tap strike to murder the survivors of the first attack. There is no evidence of drug trafficking & if there was, the accused should have been prosecuted in a court of law, not executed without due process. Strange that Posobiec has no concern for due process of law.
