UPDATE: The man detained by law enforcement in the Nancy Guthire case has been released.

According to Brian Entin, Senior National Correspondent for News Nation, Carlos Palazuelos was delivering for DoorDash when he was pulled over. The family told Entin that the FBI is searching the house on an active search warrant and took all of their electronic devices.

Original story follows:

A person has been detained for questioning in the case of Nancy Guthrie's disappearance. Guthrie is the mother of Today host Savannah Guthrie and was allegedly kidnapped last week.

According to ABC 7, an official has said that a person was detained for questioning in the case. This comes as there has been a heightened law enforcement presence in the area around Guthrie's Arizona home. Guthrie has yet to be found as of Tuesday afternoon.

The person was detained with the help of the FBI as well as the Pima County Sheriff's Department in Arizona. The individual was taken into custody at a location that was south of Tucson. Police have also been preparing to search a location that has been linked to the individual.

As news broke that a person had been detained in the case, FBI Director Kash Patel said, "There might be persons of interest in and around the area related to this event."

Earlier on Tuesday, footage as well as photos of a potential suspect in the case were released by the FBI. A masked individual was tampering with a doorbell camera at Guthrie's home. The FBI also released a missing person poster on Tuesday, which included the images of the potential suspect.

"Additional recovered footage, from the same camera, at the same timeline, the morning of Nancy Guthrie's disappearance. This footage is just before the original video shared, with the individual approaching Nancy Guthrie's front door," Patel said.

After the footage was released, President Donald Trump said that he was briefed on the details in the case. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, "We're just praying for the safety of Nancy Guthrie and that she will return home soon. And the President directed me to please encourage all Americans with any information to call the FBI, and we hope that this case will come to a positive resolution as soon as possible."

After the images were released to the public, Savannah Guthrie posted on Instagram with the caption, "We believe she is still alive. Bring her home."

On Tuesday, there were also reports that a Bitcoin account saw activity after it was linked to a ransom note demanding $6 million in exchange for Guthrie's release. TMZ and other local outlets in Arizona reported receiving the ransom note.

The ransom note deadline was on Monday, but activity on Tuesday indicated that the amount transferred to the account was less than $300.
