"We can't believe we have to say this, but media on scene: please do not order food delivery to a crime scene address."
"We can't believe we have to say this, but media on scene: please do not order food delivery to a crime scene address. This interferes with an active investigation," the sheriff's department wrote on X. "Please also respect privacy laws. Thank you."
Video posted to X by local ABC15 News reporter Ford Hatchett shows a Domino's delivery driver leaving the front door of Guthrie's residence, looking confused with the pizza still in hand. "Never seen something quite like this," Hatchett wrote. "A Domino's delivery driver just walked all the way up to Nancy Guthrie's front door trying to deliver a pizza. Walking out now. Believe it was intended for someone in the media along the street."
In a follow-up post, Hatchett reported that the pizza was ordered for an independent livestreamer who uses the X username JLRINVESTIGATES. "A viewer ordered it for him," said Hatchett. "There was a deputy out front of the home but facing the other way. Guess he didn't see the pizza delivery driver. Another deputy has arrived now."
Just moments before the incident occurred, FBI Director Kash Patel released surveillance video and images of a masked subject tampering with Nancy Guthrie's home security camera on the morning of her disappearance. The wanted individual is being probed as a possible suspect and remains at large.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, went missing in the early morning hours on Sunday, February 1. She is the mother of NBC News' Savannah Guthrie, who co-hosts the famous "Today" show. Authorities believe Nancy was abducted. There have been several ransom notes sent to various news agencies, resulting in Savannah and her siblings pleading for their mother's safe return. It's unclear if Nancy is still alive.
Reporters have gathered outside Nancy's home since her viral disappearance. President Donald Trump has ordered federal authorities to make the case a top priority.
Anyone with information about the masked subject has been asked to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit http://tips.fbi.gov.
