BREAKING: President Trump says he’s ‘honored' and 'invigorated’ by Iowa caucus win

Trump was the projected winner very shortly after voting began.

After the projected results of the Iowa Caucuses, former President Donald Trump has said that he is "greatly honored" as well as "invigorated" with the victory.

An interview with Trump from Fox Digital took place shortly after the decision desk at the outlet called Trump to be the projected winner.

"I feel great," Trump told the outlet. "I am greatly honored by such an early call."

Trump was projected to have taken the majority of the states 40 delegates in the state of the primary and the results reflect the lead in a poll he had right before going into the vote.

The former president was joined by his son, Donald Trump Jr. for a photo after the announced results with a caption reading, "Well, that was fast. Thank you Iowa. Now let’s end this nonsense and go after the insanity that is today’s Democrat party."

"Enough is enough! It’s time to put America first for a change," the post on X continued.

Speaking more with the outlet in an interview, former President Trump said, "It really is an honor that, minutes after, they’ve announced I’ve won—against very credible competition—great competition, actually."

"We have to get our country back," he added. "Our country has gone through so many bad things over the last three years and it is continuing to go through bad things."

"I feel really invigorated and strong for our country," Trump said.

The former president pointed to his administration's accomplishments of energy independence, rebuilding the US military, and growing the economy.

"We’re going to quickly do it all again," he added. "We are going to fix our border and we are going to do it and do it quickly."

Trump's team said The people of Iowa sent a clear message tonight: Donald Trump will be the next Republican nominee for President. It's now time to make him the next President of the United States."
