Trump has been declared the winner of Georgia’s GOP primary election.
The race was called at 7:11 pm with around 2 percent of the vote in by the Associated Press.
59 delegates were at stake in the Georgia primary, with the state awarding "42 of its delegates to the winner of each of its 14 congressional districts, three Republican National Committee delegates to the statewide winner and the rest proportionally to candidates who earn more than 20 percent of the vote," NPR reports.
Trump sat at 1089 delegates awarded before the Georgia primary, needing just 126 more to cross the majority threshold. 161 delegates are at stake in Tuesday evening's elections in Mississippi, Washington, and in Hawaii's caucus.
