This, after a night of violent rioting stemming from several large-scale ICE raids in Los Angeles on Friday.

On Saturday, anti-ICE activists clashed with federal law enforcement officers outside a staging area in Paramount, California, for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations throughout Los Angeles County. This comes after a night of violent rioting in response to several large-scale ICE raids in the City of Angels on Friday, which resulted in the arrest of over 40 illegal migrants, many of whom had serious criminal records.
As a result of Saturday's continuation of violence, Border Czar Tom Homan announced that the Trump adminsitration had ordered the National Guard (NG) to be deployed to quell the riots. President Trump later released a memo stating that 2000 guardsmen would be stationed in LA.
Protests kicked off in the morning hours of June 7 after anti-ICE activists wrongfully claimed that ICE had begun a raid at the Home Depot on Alondra Boulevard in Paramount. Authorities later confirmed that the Home Depot was not a Saturday target, but that federal officers were in a nearby staging area to conduct other immigration enforcement measures in Los Angeles throughout the day.
Tensions quickly escalated when protesters began to physically attack authorities, prompting federal officers to deploy crowd control munitions. Demonstrators hurled abuse, set fires, torched an American flag, and threw rocks at vehicles, according to video evidence. Federal authorities requested assistance from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Video footage captured by Fox LA reporter Matthew Seedorff showed several protesters being handcuffed and taken into custody for allegedly "blocking or pushing members of law enforcement," according to Seedorff. Many of the protesters arrived on scene draped in Mexican flags.
At least one protester confronted federal authorities with his dog in hand, video shows. The majority of federal officers at the staging location appeared to be from US Border Patrol and US Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
Around 3:20 pm, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department arrived on scene, declared an unlawful assembly, and issued an order to disperse, according to video footage captured by independent journalist Anthony Cabassa.
Los Angeles, a self-designated sanctuary city, erupted into chaos on Friday afternoon after ICE and federal law enforcement partners conducted large-scale immigration raids, the first major immigration enforcement operation in the city since President Trump entered the White House in January and ordered mass deportations.
Antifa militants and leftist agitators armed with riot gear smashed up concrete barriers to use as projectile weapons to attack federal officers. Dozens of arrests were made after rioters attacked DHS agents at the federal detention center, which was heavily vandalized with anti-ICE messaging, including death threats.
ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons issued a statement on Saturday regarding the events that unfolded the day prior.
"Our brave officers were vastly outnumbered, as over 1,000 rioters surrounded and attacked a federal building. It took over two hours for the Los Angeles Police Department to respond, despite being called multiple times," said Lyons. "The brave men and women of ICE were in Los Angeles arresting criminal illegal aliens including gang members, drug traffickers, and those with a history of assault, cruelty to children, domestic violence, robbery, and smuggling."
Attorney General Pam Bondi vowed to prosecute rioters who obstruct immigration operations and assault law enforcement officers.
Tom Homan announced that more than 100 illegal migrants had been apprehended during weekend raids in Los Angeles and New York.
