Former New York City Mayor Rudy Guiliani turned himself in at the Fulton County Jail in Georgia on Wednesday in connection with efforts to void the state's 2020 election results, according to Timcast.

Giuliani, who previously represented former President Donald Trump, has been indicted by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ Office on 13 counts of charges, including violation of the Georgia Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

While speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Guiliani announced his departure to Georgia and asserted that he is “feeling very, very good about it," according to Spectrum News NY1.

“I feel like I'm defending the rights of all Americans as I did so many times as a United States Attorney,” Guiliani said. “People like to say I'm different.”

“I’m the same Rudy Giuliani that took down the mafia,” he continued. “That made New York City the safest city in America. Reduced crime more than any mayor in the history of any city anywhere, and I'm fighting for justice.”

Guiliani told reporters that he is going to Fulton County “to comply with the law which I always do.”

“I don't know if I plead today, but if I do, I plead not guilty,” Guiliani said.

The former Republican New York Mayor explained that law enforcement officers will be “degrading themselves” when they take a mugshot for a man [Guiliani] “who probably put the worst criminals in the 20th century in jail.”

“Find a prosecutor who has a better record than mine in the last hundred years,” the former Trump attorney said. They’re going to degrade themselves by doing a mugshot of me. Like people will recognize me. This will turn out exactly like the FBI search turned out. They’re lying, I’m telling the truth.”

Former President Trump will be hosting an exclusive $100,000 per guest fundraising event for Guiliani at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey on Sept. 7. Trump and Guiliani will sit down for a round table discussion starting at 6 pm followed by a dinner at 7:30 pm.

On Tuesday, Donald Trump's former attorney John Eastman turned himself in to authorities in Fulton County, Georgia alongside bail bondsman Scott Hall. Eastman has been accused of orchestrating the attempt to keep Donald Trump in power after he lost to Joe Biden.

Trump has been indicted on 31 counts of felony falsification of business documents stemming from having recorded fees paid to his attorney as legal fees, which Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg claims were actually funds paid to a porn star with whom Trump is alleged to have had a dalliance.

Trump is expected to surrender himself to Georgia authorities on Thursday.
