The crash took place a bit after 2 pm in Jupiter Island, Florida, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. Details surrounding the crash were not immediately released. The incident took place in the same town where Woods lives.
Photos of the scene spread online, showing the vehicle involved in the crash on its side with police surrounding the area. According to KATU2, there were two vehicles with two people involved in the crash. According to a source from Martin County Fire Rescue that spoke to the outlet, one person was stable, and another refused to go to the hospital. The source also told reporters that there were no injuries to anyone.
This is not the first time that Woods has been in a car accident. In February 2021, Woods suffered a leg injury in a one-car crash when he was in Southern California. At the time the vehicle rolled and left him trapped in the car. He later had to have surgery because of "open fractures" in his lower right leg, per ESPN.
A rod was placed next to his tibia, and he had to have screws and pins put in his foot during surgery. He had to have another surgery related to the first crash in April 2023. Woods had been working back to return to competitive golfing after he had back surgery in October and ruptured an Achilles tendon in March 2025.
