In a press conference outside the prime minister's home, Justin Trudeau rolled out a series of new policies which intended to both help Canadians and fight the spread of coronavirus.

One such example is that Trudeau has created an “emergency loan program” that can distribute up to $5,000 for Canadians who are stuck abroad and cannot get home.

As well as this, Trudeau stated that Parks Canada will be “restricting” its visitor’s services. This means, as Trudeau rather richly described, that they will ensure that “pretty much anything with a door will be closed.”

More significantly, however, is that Trudeau will be holding another press conference tomorrow where he will outline more government flexibility for consumers during the incoming tax season, and will ensure that businesses have liquidity to get through the crisis.
