2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump has arrived in Washington, DC for his arraignment in federal court on charges related to an alleged "conspiracy" to overthrow the results of the 2020 election.

Trump’s plane, Trump Force One, landed at Reagan National Airport just outside the nation’s capital around 3 pm. His motorcade shortly after made his way into DC to the E. Barrett Prettyman just blocks from the Capitol building.

Trump will be fingerprinted, but not photographed.

Protestors have gathered outside the courthouse, at one point dancing to Pharrell Williams’ song Happy alongside Code Pink protestor Medea Benjamin who held a sign that read "Trump 2024… Prison."

Shortly before departing from New Jersey, Trump posted on Truth Social, "I am now going to Washington, DC, to be arrested for having challenged a corrupt, rigged, & stolen election. It is a great honor, because I am being arrested for you. Make America great again!"

Trump has been charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction, and conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
