Following day one of jury deliberations in District Attorney Alvin Bragg's falsified business documents trial, Donald Trump addressed the media, noting that nobody seems to know exactly what the crime in question is. He also took aim at Judge Juan Merchan, saying he should drop the case to save the judge's reputation.

The jury was dismissed around 4 pm after failing to reach a verdict on the 34 felony counts leveled against the former president. The jurors also asked to rehear the judge's instructions and portions of testimony from David Pecker and Michael Cohen. The jury is set to reconvene on Thursday at 9:30 am.

"What is very unfair is that I'm not campaigning; I'm in this room all day long, from morning to night in the Biden witch hunt," Trump began, later adding that "it seems like there's a lot of witnesses, a lot of people, that they could have called that they didn't call. Now they didn't call them obviously because they would've been very bad witnesses for them."

He suggested that some of the "big players" and "key witnesses" left out by the prosecution "would've given us the win," noting that one witness is "suffering gravely because of what's happened, because of the viciousness of these thugs."

"The confusion is," Trump continued, "nobody knows what the crime is, because there is no crime ... It's a disgrace. This thing oughta be ended immediately. The judge oughta end it and save his reputation."

Over the course of the trial, jurors heard from over 20 witnesses, including former Trump attorney Michael Cohen and porn star Stormy Daniels. During Cohen's testimony, he admitted to stealing around $30,000 from the Trump Organization, leading Trump's team to ask Merchan to dismiss the case. He declined. Cohen also allegedly lied on the stand.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
