On Friday, the Department of Justice released the full transcripts and audio recordings of Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche's prison interviews with Jeffrey Epstein gal pal Ghislaine Maxwell. The interviews were conducted at the Tallahassee federal prison where she was sent to serve a 20 year sentence. She has since been moved to a Texas facility.

The hundreds of pages of interviews are available on the DOJ site. Present at the interview in addition to Blanche and Maxwell were Diego Pestana, Acting Associate Deputy AG, Spencer Horn, an FBI Special Agent, Mark Beard, the Deputy US Marshal, and Maxwell's attorneys David Markus, Leah Saffian and Melissa Madrigal.

Blanche specified during the interview that Maxwell would have "immunity" for the interview. "So that means that the words that you say today, we cannot use against you in a case in chief, if we were ever to bring one." The exception to that, Blanche specified, was if Maxwell lied.

Blanche asked Maxwell about her attorney Markus having reached out to the government. Maxwell said she did ask for that, saying that she told him that she "would be very keep to talk to anyone, because no one form the government, at any time, ever in the— since the inception of the case, so dating back to the early 2000s, has ever spoken to me and indeed, I beleive ever reached out to me at any time to even speak to me. And that includes up to when I was indicted and prosecuted."

Maxwell said that her attorneys had relayed that she was interested in speaking with the government, but that this was not reciprocated. Maxwell detailed her first meeting with Epstein, saying that it was in 1991 and he was unknown to her or her family at the time.

Blanche asked her about Donald Trump and Maxwell said that she'd never seen him do anything inappropriate at any time and that he was always a gentleman.

She also said that Epstein did not kill herself, in her belief.
