The former president trounced Nikki Haley in the state caucus on Saturday.
Former President Doanld Trump won walking away against Nikki Haley in the Missouri Republican Caucus on Saturday.
The Associated Press called the winner on Saturday a little before 1 p.m. eastern time with just 7 percent of the vote counted. Additionally, every vote had gone to Trump when the projection was announced.
This comes after Trump has won every other state thus far in the Republican primary.
In a Morning Consult poll leading up to the caucus, Trump was ahead of Haley with 86 to 12 percent of the voting bloc in the Show-Me state.
Additionally, in a recent head-to-head Emerson poll with President Joe Biden for the general election, Trump competed well with a lead of 49 to 32 points. Young voters under 30 and Independents in that same poll swung in favor of Trump instead of the current president.
Another question in the Emerson poll revealed that Missouri support for former President saw an uptick since the election results in 2020. When asked about their 2020 vote, about 45 percent said they voted for Trump over Biden. The poll indicates that support has increased to just under 50 percent of Missouri voters.
Missouri was one of the last chances Nikki Haley had to bring out a surprise win before Super Tuesday when 15 states will hold primaries or caucuses to decide the Republican nominee for the 2024 race.
