Former President and 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump is set to headline this year's Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) which is scheduled to take place March 1-4 in Washington, DC.

"We are honored to have President Trump speak at the CPAC conference," CPAC spokesperson Megan Powers Small said in a statement posted to Twitter by Politico Correspondent Meridith McGraw. "President Trump has been a featured speaker at CPAC for over 10 years, sharing his love for our great country and the American people."

"He has always understood the importance of CPAC as a major communications platform to reach millions of Americans and showcase his successful America First policy agenda that made our country more secure and prosperous, the statement added.

Jack Posobiec posted of the news on Twitter.

CPAC is an annual conference hosted by the American Conservative Union and features prominent voices in the conservative movement. The conference will be returning to DC for the first time since the onset of the pandemic, after bing held in Florida for two years.

Speaking at CPAC 2022 Trump said that the conservative movement is "strong, and growing stronger every day. The radical left is exposed and they're weak and their pathetic policies have been out there long enough now," adding that Americans in the GOP will never be swayed.

In 2021, Trump gave the closing speech at CPAC where he told the crowd "We will be united and strong like never before."

Trump announced his run for president on November 15, 2022 after teasing for months, including in CPAC speeches, that he may run again.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
