With all the recent BLM news stories popping up, one of them to resurface is the Breonna Taylor story. A tragic situation that created public protest and riots alongside the George Floyd fervor. The dispute over criminal charges being central over fanning the flames.

In a related story today, Simon & Schuster is refusing to distribute a book by Sgt Jonathan Mattingly, the officer who shot Breonna Taylor.

It was last year on March 13, 2020 the 26-year-old was caught in the crossfire of a Louisville police firefight. It was a botched raid situation. The cops got a warrant to search for drugs, but their approach upon entering the apartment confused the boyfriend into thinking it was one Breonna's exes. The boyfriend opened fire, the cops retaliated, and Taylor died as a result.

Breonna Taylor’s mother threw herself into the fight for police accountability in the name of what happened to her daughter.

However according to a Facebook post a few days ago, Tamika Palmer’s mission doesn’t entirely line up with some of the actions taken by the Black Lives Matter movement.

"I could walk in a room full of people who claim to be here for Breonna’s family who don’t even know who I am I’ve watched y’all raise money on behalf of Breonna’s family who has never done a damn thing for us nor have we needed it or asked so Talk about fraud.”

In addition Tamika named BLM Louisville and Attica Scott (member of the Kentucky House of Representatives) as frauds.

She has solid reasons to be suspicious of activist groups. Early last month the founder of the Black Lives Matter of Greater Atlanta Facebook page was apprehended by authorities over fraud related charges.
