According to the director of prosecutions, John Diamond, Nsangira is accused of not doing the government mandated self-isolation upon his return from Rodd Brudenell River Resort.

A Canadian man who tested positive for the novel coronavirus has been arrested after he allegedly refused to self-isolate.

Javan Mizero Nsangira, 22, will be spending time at Sleepy Hollow provincial correctional centre near Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

According to the director of prosecutions, John Diamond, Nsangira is accused of not doing the government mandated self-isolation upon his return from Rodd Brudenell River Resort.

No charges have been proven in court, with Diamond telling CTV News that Nsangira will be facing two counts of common nuisance, including uttering threats to police.
