Charlie Kirk, TPUSA ranked second most-watched conservative alternative news source in Alabama: Cygnal poll

Turning Point USA and its founder, Charlie Kirk, are the second-most watched conservative alternative news source, according to a poll of Republican primary voters in Alabama conducted by Cygnal. 

The poll, which was part of research for Alabama’s upcoming 2026 gubernatorial election, surveyed primary voters. Respondents were asked which alternative media outlets, apart from mainstream news, they had watched, listened to, or read in the past month. Each participant could choose up to six different sources.

Fox News dominated the field, with 59.5 percent of respondents saying they had consumed content from the network in the past month. In second place was “The Charlie Kirk Show or Turning Point USA,” selected by 23.2 percent of respondents. Kirk’s platform narrowly edged out several other high-profile conservative media figures and outlets.

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson came in third, with 23.1 percent of respondents reporting they had engaged with his content. Newsmax followed at 21.4 percent, while the Daily Wire, co-founded by Ben Shapiro, came in at 14.8 percent. Other news sources that received various levels of viewership included The Blaze, The Megyn Kelly Show, The Candace Owens Show, and more.

Charlie Kirk reacted to the news on X, simply writing, “Very cool.”

Turning Point USA, founded by Kirk in 2012, has grown from a youth-oriented activist group into a major conservative media and political operation. Kirk has significantly grown in popularity as of late, particularly on TikTok, for his campus tabling events where he engages in dialogue with college students.
