After coming clean about her past, Chrissy Teigen is still feeling the heat, and more than her brand empire is suffering as other situations are brought to light.
Today in an interview with The Sun, the outlet heard from Cameroonian singer Denica. Her story involves a pushy Chrissy Teigen at the 2016 Grammy Awards, and says husband John Legend saw the whole thing, and did nothing about it.
Denica and her assistant were on the red carpet. He took out his phone to take a video of Denica, but along comes Chrissy Teigen, yanking the phone out of his hands and saying “DON’T RECORD ME.”
Chrissy Teigen pushed Denica both on the red carpet, as well as on their way off. “I almost fell flat on my face,” Denica recalls.
Denica is coming forward now because of the recent bullying stories coming out about Teigen recently. “I just never thought of it as something, but...I saw her bully people online and was like, 'Damn!' She's just a mean-spirited human. Everyone who has known me since 2016 knows the story, because since then, I’ve never liked her."
The Chrissy Teigen story has resurfaced this week as she took to Medium, posting an apology and trying to explain herself. “I’m telling you this for context, not seeking or deserving any sympathy. There’s no justification for my behavior. I’m not a victim here. The subjects of your sympathy — and mine — should be those I put down.”
It was at this time last month that Chrissy Teigen faced the ramifications of her actions, as her Macy’s product line was cancelled amidst backlash over revelations Teigen cyber-bullied Courtney Stodden.
As outlined by The Daily Beast, Courtney Stodden married Doug Hutchison of The Green Mile in 2011. He was 50 years old, she was 16. The age difference had caused controversy. It led Chrissy Teigen to publicly wish death against Stodden. But also she DM’ed things like “I can’t wait for you to die” in private.
