A reporter with MSNBC interviewed a young voter in Hanover, who revealed that his vote for Haley was a "strategic vote."
CNN and MSNBC aired interviews with New Hampshire non-Republican voters on Tuesday, voters who registered themselves as undeclared, to vote for Nikki Haley in the Republican primary election in a "strategic vote." The Biden-Harris HQ campaign X account also shared a video celebrating the action. Trump was declared the winner of the state at 8 p.m.
One CNN reporter in Nashua interviewed a voter who said he cast his ballot in the election for Nikki Haley. When asked what he would consider his political leanings to be, he replied "Democrat," and said that if the presidential election came down to Nikki Haley and Joe Biden, he would vote for Joe Biden.
The Biden-Harris HQ X account also posted a clip, with the caption, "Reporter: I've spoken to Republican primary voters who said they could not miss out on voting because they wanted to cast ballots against Trump. They believe Trump is a threat to democracy and are just sick of the hatred and the lies."
A reporter with MSNBC interviewed a young voter in Hanover, who revealed that his vote for Haley was a "strategic vote."
"And while I wouldn’t vote for her in a general election, particularly our differences with a climate change solution, a woman’s right to bodily autonomy and incarceration rates, I think a vote for Nikki Haly helps diminish Trump’s influence in the RNC and their nomination, but it’s also a vote toward democracy."
The reporter had talked to an undeclared voter who purposefully came to vote against Trump.
Hanover, a small town on the border of Vermont, say 841 votes for Trump in the general election. The town, which the MSNBC reporter described as a "liberal stronghold," has seen over 1,400 of the 1,700 votes be cast for Nikki Haley.
Breaking down the results that are still underway, Charlie Kirk said on Tuesday evening, "Any Nikki Haley viability is brought to you by New Hampshire Democrats."
Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec broke it down, adding "we said this was going to be a problem early on."
"Now we've seen CNN is all over it, and who is laughing about it? Joe Biden's own campaign is sharing clips of this, laughing in the faces of Republicans, of Trump voters, of Trump supporters. They're saying that look, there's people registered to vote in your primary who are against Donald Trump. They think he's anti-democracy.
"We're witnessing in real time, the birth of a media psy-op, a major media psy-op, one that we predicted.
Kirk noted that Fox reported, "Nikki Haley is doing much better than expected."
"They just said that on Fox. By the way, that's when people said, 'oh, you know, you guys are being too negative.' No, no, no, hold on a second. We're covering it accurately when we're telling you the next op in front of the op. That's happening in real time."
Hosts on a Timcast livestream slammed the practice to sabotage the outcome of the primary as well.
The Post Millennial Editor-in-Chief Libby Emmons said, "It's the kind of thing that people who have no faith in the system of government that they live in would do."
CNN exit polls have revealed that 70 percent of voters who cast their ballot for Trump are registered Republicans, while 27 percent were registered as undeclared voters. Haley voters on the other hand, were primarily registered undeclared voters, at 70 percent. Just 27 percent of registered Republicans voted for Haley.
ABC News celebrated the voters casting their ballots for Haley, saying "those independent, those undeclared voters" felt they needed to do this, that they needed to participate in this primary" because "they really felt like they should be the ones to decide the whole thing."
