Democratic strategist Van Jones said Sunday that’s he’s “nervous” and “worried” about Vice President Kamala Harris losing in Pennsylvania to former President Donald Trump.

“Philadelphia is where we’ve gotta run up a big margin, but Philly overall has been trending down, not in terms of going toward the Republicans, just people not getting out to vote,” he told CNN.

He later added, “It's a bigger, tougher fight in Philly to get that vote count up than it has been in the past. That has me worried. The other thing has me worried is that the Jewish vote in the suburban areas, Biden won the Jewish vote by 70 percent, 70-30 last time. Some polls show Kamala at 50-50, that is 70,000 votes we’ve bled away. That is the margin of victory."

“So you got groups like Zioness, Amanda Berman out there fighting to get the Jewish vote back on board … It is door-to-door, bruised knuckles, tired legs, a lot of coffee and I’m nervous and worried and I’m not gonna be any way until this thing gets called,” Jones said.

Of the seven battleground states in the country, the Keystone state has 19 votes and is considered to be the most vital of out of the seven to win the White House. Trump as well as Harris have campaigned hard in the state and worked to bring people out to vote.

CNN’s more conservative commentator Scott Jennings went on to argue that the Harris campaign should have chosen Democratic Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, saying that those who are Jewish may have been more likely vote for Harris if she chose him as her running mate instead of Tim Walz.

Many have thought that Shapiro would have been a better pick, however, Harris has tried to walk a fine line of trying to appease far-left pro-Palestinian activists as well as Jewish Democrats in her party as she has campaigned. Some have speculated that choosing Shapiro would have lost her more support from those who are more pro-Palestinian.
