A conservative women's nonprofit has accused outdoor gear company Yeti of unexpectedly canceling an order for customized mugs because the word "conservative" appeared in the design. The Clare Boothe Luce Center for Conservative Women, based in Virginia, stated that Yeti deemed the term "political," which resulted in the cancellation. This is despite the fact that the organization had successfully placed a comparable order with the company the year prior without issue, according to the nonprofit.

The organization posted about the matter on social media Monday, writing on X, "We thought cancel culture went out with 2024 but here we are."

The Center for Conservative Women, a 501c3 nonprofit, claimed that Yeti had pulled its bulk order for customized mugs after the organization had already paid. This was a restock order. Yeti confirmed the order on March 20 and then sent the organization an email indicating that the order had been cancelled, according to screenshots of the email shared by the group online.

"I would like to sincerely apologize for the cancellation of your order. Yeti is unable to customize products with text or logos that are licensed, copyrighted, profane, or political in nature," Yeti said in an email. "If there is another logo within our guidelines that you would like to move forward with, please let me know."

The nonprofit said it reached out to a Yeti sales manager to clarify why the order had been cancelled, to which the manager allegedly stated that it was due to the phrase "conservative women" being featured on the mugs, which is on "the political aisle," so the company could not provide the product.

"We were surprised by Yeti's decision to cancel our order, especially because we placed the same order before," the nonprofit said in a statement to The Post Millennial. "These mugs were meant to share an inspirational message, featuring one of our favorite quotes from Clare Booth Luce: 'Courage is the ladder on which all the other virtues mount.' As a nonpolitical, 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to prepare and promote conservative women leaders, we believe courage is at the heart of everything we do. It's disheartening to see how cancel culture can affect even something as simple as a product order with a meaningful message just because it says, 'conservative women.'"

The center said that because the organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, it cannot be considered political.

"We are an educational organization that works to help young women become strong, conservative leaders," the nonprofit said. "Our organization provides young women with many opportunities through our programs which include: internships, national student summits, campus lectures, and firearms training."

"We ordered the EXACT same product from Yeti last year with no problems," the group continued. "Nothing is different - Their terms haven't changed in the last 10 years. This is ridiculous. Yeti, do better."

In 2018, Yeti faced backlash after severing its relationship with the National Rifle Association (NRA), the Blaze reported.

The Post Millennial reached out to Yeti for comment.

Keith

Yeti lost my business for life when they abandoned the NRA. We need to give them the Bud Light treatment.
