Angel Studios bans sex, F-bombs, misuse of God's name in their films with bold new pledge
This “has never really happened in Hollywood history.”

Angel Studios came out with a promise on Thursday to help parents decide which movies are appropriate for their children.
“We just made a promise no Hollywood studio has ever made. No sex or nudity on screen, no F-word, and no misuse of God's name in Angel originals. And 3 million Guild members get a veto on everything before it ever lands on Angel,” posted Jordan Harmon, co-founder of Angel Studios.
" Parents shouldn't have to sift through a dozen movies to find one they can watch. That's why we made the Angel Promise," he added.
Jeff Harmon, Jordan's brother and co-founder of the studio, was interviewed on Fox News Digital, saying that the studio is establishing, “The Angel Promise.” Harmon said that the studio was led to make this promise after seeing the entertainment industry increasingly losing touch with families.
Jeff Harmon said, “I think Hollywood generally kind of lives in a bubble,” adding “These are excellent craftsmen. They’re the best storytellers in the world. Hollywood has built the best storytelling infrastructure in the world.” He then added, “But, at the same time, they’ve kind of drifted more and more away from the values-based audience that they used to serve,” and added, “and with that, in our view, as brothers and as fathers, as a father, Hollywood hasn’t been giving me consistently what I need. Once in a while, you get a good one, but you have to sift through all these things to find your good movies and your good stories.”
Angel Studios said that there will be three core commitments, with approval of content by their audience, sex and language standards and parental control expansion, which, Harmon stated, “has never really happened in Hollywood history.” The F-word and profanity will now be prohibited in titles for children age 12 or younger.
The Angel Guild has about 3 million members, and these members are given the opportunity to approve or reject projects before they are in Angel’s entertainment system. The policy states that movies or series need to receive a score of at least 70/100 to qualify for inclusion.
Currently the Studio has over 100 movies available to members.
The King of Kings, which debuted in 2025, broke box office records as the best opening weekend ever for an animated Biblical movie.
