NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio made it clear on a statement on Sunday that he believes that Cuomo should have his emergency powers revoked and be investigated.

De Blasio's statement reads, in part:

"New Yorkers have seen detailed, documented account of sexual harassment, multiple instances of intimidation, and the admitted withholding of information on the deaths of over 15,000 people."

"Questions of this magnitude cannot hang over the heads of New Yorkers as we fight off a pandemic and economic crisis. It's clear what must now take place."

De Blasio goes on to insist that the emergency powers Cuomo has been using must be immediately revoked. He also insists that two "fully independent investigations" be launched, looking into Cuomo's alleged involvement in the nursing home scandal and into his alleged serious misconduct at the professional level.

De Blasio and Cuomo have been at odds since for a while now. They famously clashed back in August over "rich people", for example, with Cuomo accusing de Blasio of chasing the rich out of NYC.

De Blasio in turn has publicly slammed Cuomo on such issues as his vaccine policies, which do indeed seem to have proven disastrous for NY state residents.

Of course, many people are fans of neither of the prominent NY politicians. Journalist Matt Palumbo has even gone to the trouble to write a book about the subject, for example.

One man in particular summed up on Twitter what could very well be the statements of many:

"YAS CONSUME ONE ANOTHER IN GLORIOUS COMBAT! Which Clinton disciple will survive and ascend to the next level! I can't wait to find out."
