The Black Lives Matter mural outside Trump Tower in New York City has been defaced for the fourth time as anti-BLM protesters smeared and splattered black paint across the yellow block letters.

A black woman can be seen "rebuking" a man for trying to stop her from defacing the mural, ending in the man throwing a paint stick in her direction.

A second man can be seen throwing a paint stick at the woman and a third man picked up an empty paint can and was prepared to throw it at someone before the person filming asked him to put it down.

This comes as pro-Trump protesters congregated around the BLM mural on Saturday, splattering blue paint across it before they were apprehended. The mural was repaired shortly after.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has consistently appeared more concerned with the condition of the mural he helped paint than with the increasing criminal activity in New York City.

Police have been protecting the mural while gun violence in the city soars.
