Efforts are underway to urge Hamas supporters to choose the uncommitted option rather than Biden in the remaining primary states following efforts to do so on Super Tuesday.
According to texts obtained by The Post Millennial, the messages in Washington State boosting that effort were paid for by the Seattle chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). The text also contained a flyer featuring a graphic of Washington state covered in the Palestinian flag.
Michigan's primary saw over 100,000 voters mark their ballots uncommitted, and Minnesota saw tens of thousands in their states. Both efforts were backed by pro-Palestinian congresswoman, with Rep. Rashida Tlaib putting out a video where she disussed her pride in having voted uncommitted. Rep. Ilhan Omar backed the effort among her constituents. Many of the uncommitted votes were protests against Joe Biden.
Alabama, Colorado, Iowa, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Tennessee saw similar results of the protest aimed at pressuring Biden to back down from his support of Israel. Alabama saw more than 11,000 voters, or 6 percent, voted "uncommitted," while Colorado saw over 43,000, 8 percent of the vote.
In Iowa, 4 percent backed "uncommitted" and in Massachusetts, over 54,000 voters, just below 10 percent, supported "No Preference." In North Carolina, 88,000 voters, nearly 13 percent, voted "No Preference" and in Tennessee, roughly 10,450 voters, or 8 percent of the vote, chose "Uncommitted." Fox News noted that the non-declared option was usually the second most chosen option over other Democratic challengers.
The day after Hamas terrorists attacked Israel killing 1,200 civilians and kidnapping over 250 more, the DSA partnered with Black Lives Matter to rally for Hamas in cities across the US. Flyers for the events featured graphics of the paragliders Hamas used in the attacks.
The list of sponsors for the events included The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), which was recently scrubbed from the Biden administration's antisemitism task force after their director said that the Oct 7 massacre made him "happy."
