A new poll released Sunday showed a majority of Republican voters plan to vote for former President Donald Trump in the GOP primary.

In the NBC Poll, the former president has the primary support of 51 percent of Republican Voters. This is two points higher than an Echelon poll in May and five points higher than the same NBC poll in April.

Trump's closest challenger, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sits at 22 percent, which is a loss of nine points from the April poll, but a Three-point gain from the Echelon poll. When combining the first and second-choice votes, Trump is at 63, while Desantis is at 53.

However, when compared to President Biden the Former president lost four points since the April poll, sitting at 45 percent to Bidens 49 percent. According to NBC, This is within the poll's Margin of error.

Governor DeSantis is shown to be in a dead heat with President Biden, with each getting 47 percent of the vote.

Donald Trump is facing two indictments, one in New York for allegedly paying hush money to Porn Star Stormy Daniels and a federal charge of improper handling of classified documents after the FBI raided his Mar-a-Lago estate. A Harvard Harris Poll released last week showed that 55 percent of Americans think that the indictments are politically motivated and 50 percent believe the charges will help him politically.

The Harvard Harris poll also showed that former President Trump held a six-point lead over President Biden. Then NBC poll shows that 68 percent of Americans have major concerns over Joe Bidens mental abilities to be able to perform his duties as President, while 55 percent said the same of Trump.

Among other Republican primary candidates, former Vice President Mike Pence received 6 percent, Chris Christie 5 percent, Nikki Haley 4 percent, Tim Scott 3 percent, Vivek Ramaswamy 3 percent, and Isa Hutchinson 2 percent.
