The Republican National Committee (RNC) hosted a "Protect the Vote" event in Tampa Bay on Thursday, in which hundreds of voters learned how to get involved in the GOP's fight to ensure a fair and transparent presidential election. This effort was led by RNC co-chair Lara Trump and chairman Michael Whatley.

Volunteers and legal experts received training on how to become poll watchers and poll workers, which is part of the RNC's nationwide election integrity initiative to energize and recruit voters who want to help prevent a repeat of the 2020 presidential election. Appearances at the event included Lara Trump, Michael Whatley, former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, Congressman Cory Mills (R-FL), and Florida GOP chairman Evan Power.

Speaking to hundreds of Florida volunteers, the RNC laid out its strategy to recruit 100,000 volunteers across the country. The committee led with a simple message: If you cheat in the election we will come for you.

"If you are a person who is going to cheat in an election, we will find you, we will track you down and we will prosecute you to the full extent of the law," said Lara Trump, who emphasized the importance of the RNC's "aggressive comprehensive election integrity operation."

"We can never repeat 2020 and that election ever again," she continued. "We are going to work overtime all the way up until November 5 to ensure that we have a free, fair, and transparent election so that every single person in this country - no matter if you're voting Republican, Democrat, or third-party candidate -  when you go vote as an American citizen you should feel like your vote matters and your vote counts."

"That is why we are here today, and that is why everyone in this room is so vitally important," said Lara Trump, mentioning that voter turnout and voter registration is another critical issue at the top of the RNC's priorities.

Hundreds of volunteers participate in RNC election integrity training.

The RNC kicked off its "Protect the Vote Tour" in Michigan on June 14, which followed with stops in battleground states such as Georgia, North Carolina, and Nevada before coming to Florida.

A volunteer poll worker who wished to remain anonymous told The Post Millennial that the RNC's efforts under its new leadership have restored his faith in the GOP.

"I love what they are doing and I'm thrilled to be involved," he said. "It's very important to protect the vote. Trump is the only one who can lead our country and it's imperative we the people get him elected. No more cheating. It's all hands on deck."

Whatley, Trump-endorsed chairman of the RNC, said this election cycle is the most critical in the nation's history and has the potential to impact not only future generations but the entire world. He rallied the crowd to support former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, and touted the accomplishments the Trump administration achieved while in the White House.

To ensure a Trump victory, Whatley explained that "every dollar we raise is going to be spent on two things: We're going to get out the vote and we're going to protect the ballot."

"This is not election denialism, these are not conspiracy theories," said Whatley. "These are basic protections that we want to safeguard our elections and they're supported by 75 to 80 percent of all voters, whether they're Republican, Democrat, or Independent."

The RNC has already filed over 60 election-based lawsuits in various states - including California, Michigan, and Vermont - and is working to file more.

"If you cheat, you are going to get prosecuted," Whatley reasserted, stressing prior remarks made by his co-chair Lara Trump.

The RNC has vowed to persist in its efforts to challenge policies that it deems to be an attack on election integrity across the nation. It has accused Democrats of promoting "election systems that are open to fraud" and inciting "non-citizens to vote."
