A radical pro-Palestinian student organization has been suspended at the University of Washington (UW) after failing to cooperate in the investigation regarding the vandalism of the student union building during the unrest on campus last spring.

According to university spokesperson Victor Balta, the UW chapter of Students United for Palestinian Equality and Return (SUPER UW) was suspended for its “refusal to participate in the conduct investigation related to the HUB incident in April.”

Balta told The Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI that the group is no longer "recognized as a registered student organization. This means they do not have access to the benefits and resources available to RSOs.”

In April, pro-Palestinian radicals staged a sit-in during which they vandalized the interior of the Husky Student Union Building (HUB). Students who were accosted by the agitators claimed they were told by campus police that they were too understaffed to respond.

Over 100 activists, including outside individuals and students from SUPER UW, UW United Front for Palestinian Liberation and other groups marched through the campus, chanting “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” and other antisemitic slurs.

After projecting "Free Palestine" on the exterior of the building, the mob entered the HUB. Some created a human chain to prevent removal, then remained in the building after closing for an all-night sit-in, vandalizing the building and student artwork with antisemitic and anti-police graffiti.

They remained in the building until early morning when campus police finally arrived, but no arrests were made.

At the time, embattled UW President Ana Marie Cauce called the occupation and vandalism “a crime,” but the university failed to prosecute anyone, despite the damage totaling over $50,000.

Agitators attempted to cover security cameras and even damaged a piano in addition to the vandalism and graffiti. Radicals tagged "walls, furniture, carpet, artwork and TV monitors," and ripped out fixtures. According to students: "Artwork by a Jewish student may be a total loss."

Immediately after Hamas’ Oct. 7, 2023, massacre of over 1,200 civilians in Israel and the kidnapping of over 250 more, SUPER UW began organizing and advertising a rally for Hamas on campus featuring a graphic of one of the parachute gliders the terrorists used to invade the Jewish state.

The SUPER rally was announced the same day the world learned that UW graduate student Hayim Katsman was murdered by Hamas terrorists in Kibbutz Holit during the invasion. SUPER UW was one of the main organizations involved in the Gaza camp that occupied the campus last spring and denied access to Jewish students.

Recently, SUPER UW and other radical pro-Palestinian groups in the Pacific Northwest began using materials that were made by Hamas to promote the "Al-Aqsa Flood Month of Action," named after the terrorist operation on October 7, 2023.

The Hamas Media Office of the US-designated terrorist organization provided marketing material for the events that feature images of terrorists from Oct 7, 2023.

In a narrative written by Hamas, the terrorists called the rape, torture, kidnap, and murder of civilians during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood "a defensive act in the frame of getting rid of the Israeli occupation, reclaiming the Palestinian rights and on the way for liberation and independence like all peoples around the world did," describing the atrocities including rape, torture and murder as "a necessary step" and "a normal response" to "confront all Israeli conspiracies against the Palestinian people and their cause."

One of the groups that has allied with SUPER UW for the “Month of Rage” is the Seattle chapter of the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, a group that has been banned in Germany for its support of terrorist organizations, including Hamas. The radical activists advocate for the release of convicted terrorists and is affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a terrorist organization.

Samidoun participated in blockading the I-5 freeway in downtown Seattle for over 6 hours on Jan 6 and interrupted a Democratic fundraising event in Seattle featuring former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Despite a recent letter from the university claiming it would act to stop antisemitism on campus, the suspension of SUPER UW and group’s ties to terror, Balta said the group could still table and recruit on campus, telling Hoffman “The UW is still an open, public campus, and anyone who is not breaking the law is free to be on campus and express themselves.”
